Overview: Most fibers are subject to adverse effects of time or ageing, which are facilitated by the presence of UV radiation. Fiber ageing results in structural changes in polymer and consequently affects some fiber properties. The aim of this study is to explain the effect of UV radiation under artificial exposure conditions on structural changes in polyamide and polypropylene fibers by analyzing the changes in molecular and super-molecular structures of these polymers.
