Overview: This white paper examines issues relating to the use of hydrogen in the road transport sector. While the air transport sector is extremely important as it is the fastest growing source of CO2 emissions within transport, the paper focuses on the road sector as it is the main source of emissions and the sector where the technology is developing most quickly. The overall aim of the project is an assessment of the long-term viability of the hydrogen energy economy as a way of reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
