Overview: This white paper presents description in two parts. In Part I it introduces concepts that let user define faulty behavior sets as failure scenario graphs and describes algorithms for generating scenario graphs. The algorithms use model checking techniques to produce faulty behavior sets that are sound and complete. In Part II it applies formal concepts to the security domain and analyzes attack graphs, an application of scenario graphs to represent ways in which intruders attack computer networks.
