Overview: This article points out that there had been a award for everything best casino, best slot machine, best promotion, and best whatever. In addition, just about every magazine and organization seemed to be giving out awards. However, there was not a single award for best game regulator, until the International Masters of Gaming Law presented the industry's first Gaming Regulator of the Year Award at its California 2002 conference at the Silverado Resort and Country Club in Napa Valley California on December 4-6, 2002.
