Overview: This paper presents a comprehensive review of the market prospects and current and projected status of fuel processing technology for fuel cells to 2010. Specific fuel processing technologies were analyzed according to application, scale and fuel cell type and their prospects for fuel cells. Fuel processing may be defined as the conversion of the raw primary fuel supplied to a fuel cell system, into the fuel gas required by the fuel cell stack.
