Overview: This paper has been carried out on the Integrated Marine Installation System (IMIS) for offshore wind turbines. Wind power generation has become an established energy resource onshore. Offshore there are stronger, more consistent wind patterns and fewer public interface problems. However, there is a harsher, more dangerous environment where construction and maintenance costs are higher and more susceptible to vagaries of the weather.
