Overview: This paper highlighted a good wind resource on the estate and recommended using it to displace electricity purchased from the local utility. The paper presents the findings of the initial site assessment investigation prior to deployment of the turbine. This paper has identified the available wind energy resource of the Carmichael Estates Visitor Centre site and quantified the uncertainty attached to this estate, however, it does not be itself indicate whether a wind turbine development could be economically viable.
