Overview: The objective of this paper is to provide some initial guidance for people who may be considering installing a wind power project. It sets out some key points which should be considered in a preliminary feasibility study and economic assessment of a project. Prospective investors in wind power schemes must satisfy themselves that they have taken proper technical, financial and legal advice, before making any commitment to a scheme. The assessment of a wind power project is an iterative process which continues from the preliminary concept stage to the detailed specification stage.
