Overview: This paper describes the activities undertaken during the Dissipation of Heat from Building Integrated PV project. The objectives of the project were to investigate methods for improving heat transfer and the reflection of heat from PV modules in building integrated situations and to develop the design of a building integrated PV element with improved heat transfer characteristics, with the aim of reducing the operating temperature of the PV cells.
