Overview: This scoping paper has been carried out by the Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE), a charity which promotes energy efficiency and renewable energy. This paper is the first phase of a long term project to set up two small scale renewable energy schemes to demonstrate the benefits of a community based approach. This paper set out to identify two viable communities based renewable energy projects that would be taken forward either through an environmental trust or through an 'energy club' type model.
