Overview: According to this paper, users are requesting a seamless access to subscribed services over multiple devices without worry about the actual broadband access network. As there is no silver bullet access technology to help realize this vision of Universal Broadband, service providers will deploy multiple access networks in parallel. To meet the demand for easy access to personalized services, service providers need to deploy only one services delivery platform accessible over multiple broadband access networks. As the service provider manages the user profile, he can make sure that the user gets the "best" connectivity to his personalized services at all times.
