Overview: Romania is benefited of a significant solar energy potential which for the moment is not used at their potential. Due to its solar potential the thermal solar systems for hot water production could be used between April and October, as well as all year long in addition with a heating system for heating periods. Due to the lack of maintenance in many of the installations, the result was dissatisfaction, creating for a moment an additional barrier to further solar energy utilization.
