Overview: This publication is for general guidance on implementation of the CAA Light Aircraft Maintenance Schedule (LAMS) for piston engine aeroplanes and helicopters not exceeding 2730 kg MTWA, and guidance on airworthiness flight testing of all pistons and turbine engined light aeroplanes and helicopters. An aircraft registered in the United Kingdom in respect of which a Certificate of Airworthiness (C of A) is in force shall not fly unless the aircraft (including its engines), together with its equipment and radio station, is maintained in accordance with a maintenance schedule approved by the CAA. The Light Aircraft Maintenance Schedule (LAMS) has been approved by the CAA for this purpose.
