Overview: This paper focuses on newly developed UPS system for high quality power generation. The new dynamics of doing business, in conjunction with the latest stored energy technology developments, have encouraged two respected companies to join forces and create a new form of UPS that will be available for sale in early 2000. This UPS system has been optimized to supply high quality continuous power for the high availability requirements of today's world enterprises. This system has been able to supplant the need for lead-acid battery energy storage and yet provide reliabilities that match or exceed those battery-based systems used today.
