Overview: A review of the business sections of most Canadian newspapers would tend to give one a view of an increasing concentration of real estate into the hands of public real estate companies and into major pension funds such as the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (the "Caisse"), Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System ("OMERS"), Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan ("Teachers' "), and others. Upon closer scrutiny, however, one cannot be so sure according to the report.
