Overview: The U.S. Air Force has approved the use of Skyflex Aircraft Sealant on the F-15 eagle fighter. Applications for the F-15 include wing and fuselage access panels, and aft formation lights. Skyflex sealant part numbers for this application are GUA 1017-1 and GUA 1003-1. Although the F-15 Depot at Robins Air Force Base is procuring GUA 1017-1, they must remove the large outer bulb due to panel tolerance. To reduce the labor time of removing the bulb, Gore recommends that the wing shop uses Skyflex sealant part number GSC-21- 80713-00.
