Overview: Skyflex aircraft sealant was installed on the American Eagle SAAB 340 aircraft to test its ability to combat water ingress and corrosion. Panels in the entryway were chosen for testing because moisture tends to build up there. Sealant part number GSC-21-80767-00 was used on the floorboards; part numbers GO-DO-0078 and GO-DO-0079 were used as gap fillers. After 120 days of service, the aircraft was brought in for inspection.
