Overview: St. Joseph Hospital, a 350-bed critical care healthcare facility in Denver, was searching for reliable power technology that would provide additional redundancy to its hospital emergency power systems. St. Joseph engineers turned to Emerson Network Power and its ASCO Power Technologies division after learning of the number of facilities in the Denver area. The Emerson-designed ASCO Emergency Energy Generator Synchropower System for St. Joseph's is a sophisticated system featuring a series of nine ASCO 7000 Series Closed Transition Bypass-Isolation Transfer Switches, replacing 26 switches spread across the hospital campus.
