Overview: Crossroads Engineering & Surveying provided land development services for an eighteen-screen movie theater, which will serve as the anchor tenant for a commercial center featuring retail shops, restaurants, gas stations, and offices. The nearly 40-acre site is located on the west side of SR 7 between Okeechobee Blvd. and Belvedere Road. The most challenging obstacle to overcome was the placement of an outfall pipe, since no legal connection to a public receiving water body was available. The design was completed in one month, with revisions and modifications to satisfy client and permit needs, and the permitting was completed four months later.
