Overview: Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown (DBAB) wanted to enhance its management reporting system used by internal brokers and its parent company. DBAB wanted to create a central data repository that each data source could automatically update. The key to building this repository was to create specific rules governing the data elements used in the reports. These rules played an integral part in building the final data warehouse.
