Overview: As York County, Virginia, officials planned their new Health and Human Services (HHS) building; they wanted to achieve a number of goals besides providing office space for the medical, dental, and administrative staff. A 100-ton GeoExchange system was fundamental to reducing operating costs, maintenance, and the amount of space devoted to equipment. The GeoExchange system at the Health and Human Services building has worked so well, the County installed a similar system for its Environmental Service building.
