Overview: The new FarmTek Supply facility located in Dyersville, Iowa replaces outgrown facilities in nearby Hopkinton. The Dyersville FarmTek facility uses two separate earth connection systems. A closed-loop slinky system provides space conditioning for about 54,500 square feet of shop and storage areas, and a water well open loop system supports about 18,000 square feet of offices, retail sales, and the employee lounge. The combination of the very efficient heat pumps and this 'hybrid' loop design is the most efficient heating system around. This results in a relatively high load for a horizontal system, about 85 tons/Acre.
