Overview: This paper gives information about Film Production and the film industry. Depending on your point of view, it is easy to give two interpretations on the current state of film, television and interactive multi-media in Britain. The optimists are thrilled by the boom in the British film industry and look forward to integrated digital TV/DVD players which offer broadband access to the internet. The pessimists meanwhile, shake their heads and claim that the majority of British films are dire, that the internet as an entertainment source is unwieldy, and that it'll be at least a decade before the TV analogue signal is turned off. Somewhere in between these views is a narrow tightrope where an uneasy balance can be made.
