Overview: This paper presents the results of an initiative to plan and execute the validation of a sophisticated hydraulics program while drilling in deepwater. The planning-phase centered on the data collection process, as well as the methodology used in deriving pressure predictions. The validation was based on comparison of these predictions to measured surface data and annular pressures.
