Overview: This paper focuses on the n-type silicon which can be an interesting material to reduce the expected silicon shortage. The paper presents an industrial process sequence of n-type silicon. The reports improvement of emitter processing and implementation of a SiNx ARC which results in an increase of the efficiency from about 5 % to over 12 %. Further optimization of the front side paste and the firing conditions can increase the efficiency to 14 %.
