Overview: This paper summarizes the process of buying a grid-tied solar electric system. A PV system will never run out of fuel and it won't increase energy imports. It will also create jobs in Wisconsin and reduce the economic impacts caused by sudden increases in the cost of fossil fuels. A photovoltaic (PV) material converts sunlight directly into electricity. There are many reasons to install a solar electric system. People who purchase PV systems are usually not making their decision based on the economics.
