Overview: The Media and Technology Charter High School (MATCH) prepares disadvantaged urban Boston students to attend and excel in college and beyond - including and especially those students who have not been led to expect a university education. The MATCH School wanted to demonstrate that clean, renewable energy could be well suited to the school's renovation for both cost and energy efficiency. The MATCH School opted to incorporate solar power system, designed and installed by Solar Design Associates, using PowerLight?s patented solar rooftop system, and specifically chose to implement solar photovoltaic (PV) technology to reduce operating costs and benefit the environment.
