Overview: OK Produce was established in 1950 when Charles Matoian agreed to deliver farm fresh produce on a daily basis to retail stores throughout the San Joaquin Valley. Since its founding, OK Produce has been an active member of the Fresno community. As a socially responsible corporate citizen, OK Produce is committed to protecting and improving the environment. In December 2002, PowerLight Corporation completed the installation of a 232kW solar system at OK Produce's distribution facilities in Fresno, California. This system makes innovative use of an unused asset - the roof of the building - to generate on-site electricity and help reduce the company's operating costs.
