Overview: Open Hand Manufacturing, is a leading high-speed woodblock manufacturing facility based in Oakland, California. Even with the help of progress programs offered by the city of Oakland (such as the Enterprise Zone tax credits), Leventhal's business needed to identify and implement new ways to cut costs in order to survive. Confronted with rising business costs, Aaron Leventhal commissioned a 68kW solar electric system for Open Hand's manufacturing facility to reduce operating costs and improve the region's environment.
