Overview: The paper describes about fuel cells for building program by the Office of Distributed Energy Resources. The project is to build into the PEM fuel cells those characteristics that make it a prime component as a power generator and make maximum use of recoverable energy for cooling/heating and indoor air quality for various buildings types. The Buildings Energy Consumption are 38% of natural gas consumption, 67% of generated electricity consumption and 36% of national primary energy consumption.
