Overview: This report meets the requirements of section 60E of the Gaming Machine Act 1987 (the Act) which requires the ACT Gambling and Racing Commission to report to the Minister on community contributions by gaming machine licensees within 3 months of the end of the financial year. The report provides statistical information compiled from the details of contributions supplied by gaming machine licensees. The legislation governing the first three reports provided only for contributions to charitable organizations or for charitable purposes. Also, it was not compulsory for licensees to make any contributions although it was compulsory to keep records and report the details of actual contributions made.
