Overview: A Fortune 500 company that runs a major chemical processing operation in Texas identified a problem area in its utility billing. Like many large refineries, they sell off different processes to other companies and accurate bill for power they use is quite a challenge. To remove billing guesswork, Power Measurement installed an ION Enterprise energy management (EEM) system, incorporating approximately 40 ION 7350 meters, two ION 7330 meters, and two ION 8500 high accuracy revenue meters, communicating via Ethernet (direct links to intranet), radio modems, and fiber optic links.
