Overview: The LexisNexis Data Center in Ohio was operating 24 hours a day to supply its customers with legal, corporate, government and academic information. The only exception to this "round-the-clock" service was an eight-hour maintenance window on Sunday mornings, but that too had to be eliminated because it was affecting the center's international customers. The Data Center Services group installed over 50 ION 7700 and ION 7330 metering devices from Victoria, BC-based Power Measurement. The ION 7700s capture power quality events and energy data at high-voltage 12.47kV to 480V) transformers, uninterruptible power supply UPS) outputs and the static switches that transfer loads between UPS systems.
