Overview: This report includes year-end 2000 statistical data for 40 of the REIT industry's largest debt issuers, covering approximately $40 billion, or 80%, of the industry's outstanding senior unsecured public debt. The selected universe encompasses a large cross-section of the REIT industry and issuers in all commercial property. The credit index includes a variety of coverage and leverage ratios that are intended to help investors and other industry participants monitor issuer and industry trends.
