Overview: Apollo Hospitals Group has the largest chain of hospitals in India. Apollo Health Street (AHS) Ltd., one of the ventures of Apollo, wanted to setup a Virtual Medical University (VMU) as a portal to host multiple services for the medical fraternity (practicing doctors, doctors mastering in medicine and students graduating in medicine). NIIT helped Apollo develop content for the VMU. The content online is interactive and engaging in nature and has been made so by judicious use of multimedia components, such as audio, layered graphics and progressive display of text and graphics, and interactive elements such as quizzes and tips.
