Overview: Cessna has manufactured 178,000 aircraft since 1927, amounting to one-third of all aircraft aloft today. With office space covering in excess of 500,000 square feet and manufacturing facilities making up the remainder, Cessna has a combined total of over four million square feet under roof. Cessna was looking out for a cost-effective system capable of meeting requirements of both Security and Facilities Groups' ever-changing demands. Cessna installed a Johnson Controls Metasys Facility Management System (FMS) to cost-effectively control temperature, humidity, and pressurization. This installation vastly improved security accuracy and monitoring efficiency while maintaining current staff size and reducing their stress levels.
