Overview: Canadian Appliance Manufacturers Association (CAMA) members understand the important role they must play to minimize the effect household appliances have on the environment. Developing, producing and marketing more energy efficient products to aid in reducing consumer energy use and harmful green house gas emissions is just one of these roles. Energy efficient, ENERGY STAR® rated refrigerators, clothes washers, dishwashers and freezers are a major driver of reductions in Canadian energy use. This document attempts to exemplify how, Energy Star major appliances affects Canadian energy consumption.
