Overview: This report addresses the trends and issues and makes recommendations for fuel use in the transportation sector. Recommending energy policy for the State of California is the basis for the development of the Integrated Energy Policy Report. Senate Bill 1389 (Chapter 568, Statutes of 2000; Bowen) requires the California Energy Commission (Energy Commission) to identify emerging energy trends, potential adverse social, economic and environmental impacts, and assess and recommend administrative and legislative actions for the transportation, electricity and natural gas energy sectors.
