Overview: This report defines Teleworking report as working at home or a location closer to home than the regular workplace, using information and communication technology (ICT) to support productivity and communication with the supervisor, co-workers, clients, and so on. There are two main types of teleworkers: salaried employees of an organization, called telecommuters, and primary home-based business workers. In view of the ambiguity of the transportation impacts of home-based work, the difficulty in obtaining reliable data on its nature and extent, and the limited time frame of this study, the focus only on salaried telecommuters here.
