Overview: This paper discusses the fifth phase of work by the Davis Energy Group which was to complete development of ventilation cooling systems, to extend ACC designs to hot inland climates, to demonstrate them in two climates, and to evaluate performance in all sixteen California climate zones. A primary objective of this project phase (Phase 5) was to complete development of an integrated heating, ventilation cooling, and air conditioning system that would also provide fresh air ventilation for maintaining indoor air quality. This required development of both controls and an air handler with outside air damper.
