Overview: Beautiful historic Vallejo has long been at the forefront of communities championing renewable energy and conservation, from solar and wind power, to clean air vehicles. Vallejo, always interested in deploying reliable renewable resources and energy conservation techniques, needed a cost-effective solution to reduce the operating costs associated with running the city's municipal properties. After evaluating multiple renewable energy alternatives, the City of Vallejo chose to install on-site solar electric generation systems on key city buildings, including City Hall and John F. Kennedy Public Library, to meet their electricity needs in a clean, sustainable manner.
