Overview: There was a significant increase this quarter in the number of respondents who expect the economic climate to decline in the next six months (37% compared to 14% last quarter). However, it is interesting that 16% of respondents predict an improvement, whereas none of the respondents held that view in Q4 2002. This report provides a comprehensive snapshot of venture capitalists' (VCs) expectations for the next six months, and acts as an indicator of changing confidence levels in: economic climate, deal activity, and availability of funding and investment focus.
