Overview: Unlike most other asset classes, private equity fund investing is usually based on the principle that managers and investors enter into a partnership. Investors provide capital and a management fee and in return, managers source and invest in the best opportunities in the expectation that they can realize those investments at a substantial profit. This article attempts to analyze that if private equity is meant to be a partnership between fund managers and their investors then why one side is suffering and the other is not.
