Overview: This case study describes about food packaging. An EU based company that produce plastic films for food packaging needed to have an overview of where it could market the newly developed product containing a polymeric additive which is restricted by the European food contact legislation. The check had to be done in legislations of all countries in Europe where there was a published limit of the additive for food contact end use products. Results of the work: the company has been given the opportunity to market their product in 8 different countries in Europe, in Japan and USA.
