Overview: Change management must be addressed in both one-off projects as well as larger transformations involving strategy and vision. In order to effect and to sustain change, it is imperative to have thoughtful planning, implementation and involvement of the stakeholders. Change management respects not just process change but also the people side of the change. There needs to be as much buy-in as possible from all levels of the organization so that the change is embraced throughout the organization. In order to get buy-in, individuals need to understand the changes required and how the changes benefit them as well as the organization.
