Overview: This paper provides information on basic steps on how to prevent unauthorized access to financial accounts. A list of guidelines or procedures is provided to be followed in case of loss of credit cards many people find it easy and convenient to use credit cards and ATM or debit cards. The Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA) and the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA) offer procedures to be used if cards are lost or stolen.
