Overview: Fund administrators hold a lot of information on their hedge fund and fund of fund clients and are often central to most of the activity in the fund. As such, it has become increasingly common for administrators to extend their core back office offering to include value-added technologies that managers can use for front and middle office operations. This paper covers one such example - the provision of portfolio risk management and analytic systems at the Bank of Bermuda.
